Marjo de Graauw elected as inaugural member of the Leiden Teachers’ Academy



Ten of Leiden University’s most talented and impactful people in the area of teaching and education were elected to become founding members of the Leiden Teachers’ Academy. They were awarded a grant to further develop their ideas in innovative educational projects.

Marjo de Graauw has been instrumental in driving new initiatives in the bachelor programme of Bio-Pharmaceutical Sciences and this award is a recognition of her tremendous contributions and achievements. With the teaching grant she aims to develop a feed-back app and an e-portfolio enabling students to record their academic development and achievements electronically throughout their studies and improve their active engagement and participation.

The general objectives of the Leiden Teachers’ Academy are to stimulate educational innovation and provide a platform for Leiden University’s top teachers to share their knowledge and promote the dissemination of best teaching practices. Annually 5 additional distinguished lecturers will be selected for participation in this prestigious teachers’ community.
